Venezuela is a marvelous country. It offers so much to traveler in terms of natural attractions: Los Roques, the tropical paradise archipelago; treks in the jungle and towards Salto Angel, the highest waterfall in the world (about 1 Km high); treks in the Great Savanna and to Jurassic Park like mount Roraima; the great delta of the Orinoco river; sand dunes in Santa Ana de Coro; the mighty peaks of Merida; the high planes of Los llanos; the relaxing Isla Margarita. It’s hard to believe such diversity of natural environments can be found in the same country. And of course each of these places has its own eco-system and wildlife, and local indigenous cultures. Let alone the colonial architecture and towns. A richness beyond comparison. A place for adventures of any kind, and curious travelers. So, when you are planning a two weeks holiday, well you are faced with really hard choices. At the end I and some friends spent the first week trekking Roraima, and the second on Isla Margarita, to chill.
